Dan Dare is an idealist, fighting for what he knows is right and encouraging others to take action against injustice and tyranny in a far-off future. Those he inspires aren’t just humans like himself, but green and gray creatures from far-away planets. He never intended to be a super-hero, but when his Treen friend Sondar recruits him to help the noble Lystrians take their cities back from the Thraxian invaders, the Lystrians recognize him as the prophetic chosen one come to release their people from bondage. Dan doubts this, until the Lystrians’ Cosmic Claw fits itself on him, much in the same way that King Arthur pulled the sword from the stone. And so, another legend is born…
